Mary Little,
first child and first daughter of Isaac and Jane (Mounsey) Little.
Mary Little married a man named John Strong. This is all I know about this couple right now.
I did find christening information about Mary.
I have looked for marriage information, birth/christening for John Strong..... and of course census records but nothing so far. When you know little about a person it is hard to identify them among dozens of couples with the same names and same dates....... Something will open up sooner or later.
Ok, what I do know about Mary?
.........appears she is named after her mothers mothers
.........she was born in 1831 in Bassenthwaite Cumberland, England
........first child and first daughter of Isaac and Jane (Mounsey) Little
.........she is in the 1841 UK census under her parents Isaac and Jane Little/ Cumberland, England.
.........she was 10 years old according to the 1841 UK census
..........in the 1851 UK Census she is no longer listed with her parents
.........1851 at 20 years of age has she already gotten married, or working somewhere else, or died.
I am going to work on the assumption until I can/cannot prove it that she married this John Strong before the 1851 UK census came out OR that she was a servant in another home first and then married John Armstrong
.........NO marriage date
.........NO death dates for either one so nothing to add there.
Mary and Little and John and Armstrong are all such common names that I will need to know more in order to make a good choice but................
