Ruth Beatrice ALLEN, Isaac's wife, the daughter of Dr. Edward D and Helen M ( ? ) Allen. Her father is a physician with a general practice. Through the census his practice first started in Dryden, Tompkins Co. and then moved to Cortland, Cortland, New York.
Isaac and Ruth married 24 October 1900 in Dryden, Tompkins Co.,New York......... They had two boys Edward/ b:1903 & Paul/ b:1911..... Isaac and Ruth both died within a couple of years of each other, Ruth died first and then Isaac leaving two young boys alone. Edward, their
first child and son, was a young teen and he went to live with his mothers parents, Dr & Mrs Allen. Paul was only 5 years old and he went to live with his fathers parents, Mounsey & Mary LITTLE.

Obituary MRS ISAAC M LITTLE...........Died Early Tuesday Morning After an Illness of Several Weeks- Ruth Beatrice Little, wife of Isaac M Little, died early Tuesday morning, July 18, 1916, at her home, 21 Clayton Avenue, Cortland after an illness of several weeks. The funeral will be held at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home and will be private. Burial will be at Cortland.
Mrs Little was the daughter of Dr and Mrs E Davis Allen, and about twenty years of her life she resided in Dryden. She was born at Harford, October 21, 1881, and the family came to Dryden when she was six years old. On October 24, 1900, she and Mr Little were married, and about nine years ago they moved to Cortland.
Besides her husband and parents she leaves two sons, Edward M aged 13 year, and Paul M [should be A] aged 5 years, and one brother Paul W Allen of the University of Illinois.
Mrs Little was a member of the First Methodist. Sunday school at Cortland and at the time of her death was Noble Grand of Bright Light Rebekah Lodge of Cortland.................

I have located the Allen's in the 1990 & 1910 US census and the Little's in the 1880, 1900 & 1910 US Census. The 1910 would have been both Isaac and Ruth's last census. Isaac died in 1914 and Ruth died in 1916.

Newspaper: DRYDEN'S LITTLE a HAM FOR SIX DECADES- Ham Radio (Dec 4, 1994)

Ed Little, W2PHQ, of Dryden, who started as a ham 75 years ago and became licensed under the government in 1921, was presented his 60-year plaque as a member of the American Radio Relay League. Bill Thompson, W2MTA, WNY Section Manager presented the award in early September.
Little, who contracted polio at a very early age, was unable to play sports like his other school friends, so he turned to amateur radio as his hobby.
Ed and Helen Little, his wife and close companion for more than 67 years, live on a hill on Route 13 as you approach Dryden from Syracuse. Many of us hams have made that curve in the road glancing at their Little Basket Shop of five decades, with antennas on the roof, tooting a .....('Hi" in code) to Ed and Helen.
Helen says, "We never had children of our own, but Ed was a great reader of books and taught many your people the art of being a great ham operator, working especially one-on-one with those who needed special attention.

July 6, 1983- The store (Little's Basket Shop) used to be a gas station. Made from stone and wood, the station was built by Little and his wife of 55 years, Helen, 'on a shoestring'. In 1929, on of Ed Little's many life's experiences.

DRYDEN- Helen A Little, age 96, of 17 Cortland Rd, Dryden, NY, died Thursday, December 19, 2002, at the Cortland Memorial Hospital after becoming ill on Wednesday. Mrs Little was born May 26, 1906 in New Jersey and was the widow of Edward M Little, who died November 19, 1996. She was a longtime resident of Dryden and was the proprietor of Little's Basket Shop.
Survivors include nieces, Susan Little of Cedar Crest, NM and Louise Little in Anoka, MN; cousins, Sylvia Herberts of Newington, CT, Anna Clayton of New Port Richey and Evelyn Carlson of Canby OR; her God child, Ginny French of Liverpool NY. A nephew Paul Little of MN, died recently.
Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4pm Sunday December 22,2002 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Burial and memorial services will be held at a later date.

Paul was 5 years old when he came to live with his grandfather and he was about 11 years old when my mother came to live with Mounsey, her grandfather, also. Her parents were divorcing and arrangements were made for her to live with her grandparents for a while. Paul was extremely smart, the kind of smart where there is no common sense - he needed to be told to come in out of the rain. A very nice quiet man. He lived quite a bit of his adult life in Ogden, Utah. He attended & graduated from the University of Tennessee. He was a writer of poetry, and a Bacteriologist. I remember he visited us in San Carlos, California in the 1960's [just don't remember year/dates] and he just stayed for several years. He smoke excessively. He was very careless with his cigarettes. Lots of burn holes in furniture, rugs, and clothing. My parents were not very happy with that, and asked him not to smoke in the house.

Definitely looking for pictures of Isaac & Ruth and family..... I have some of the descendants but not ancestors. I know most of the living relatives from this line so I need to make some calls and write some letters.
